Don’t get me wrong, I am flattered if any of my pictures (for instance here or here) appear on Tumblr, but I really can’t stand those people who don’t credit or at least set a proper click-through link to the original source (hereby I mean the source page, not the picture’s url).
It upsets me not only as a photographer, since it feels like I am not given proper credit for my work. It also annoys me as a tumblr user. I often find pictures in my timeline that I really like and I would love to see more of those photographers’ work, but simply get no chance, because there is no way to find their portfolios or flickr accounts.
So please be kind and credit other people’s work, don’t steal it!
Danke dass du dieses Thema ansprichst. Es ist mir in letzter Zeit so sehr aufgefallen dass Leute einfach Bilder “mitnehmen” die ihnen gefallen, einen kleinen Link oder Hinweis zum Urheber allerdings vollkommen vergessen oder ihn aus bequemlichkeit einfach nicht angeben. Klar, schöne Bilder im Blog machen sich gut – aber warum keine eignen, selbst geschossenen verwenden?
Mangelnder Respekt oder Ahnungslosigkeit? Mich ärgert sowas jedesmal!
Fotos von anderen Leuten ohne Credits in seinem Weblog zu posten ist schlechter Stil. Selbstverliebt darüber herumheulen aber auch.
